Edward Jones, not to be confused with the brokerage house. Ed was a competent director in Cincinnati at WCPO and the Post Newsweek Group. Later I believe he became Dean of Communications at Howard University in Washington DC.
First mention of course goes out to Floyd "Tommy" Webb.
Yes it's really been that long, when he and Ben Wright of Virginia Beach and I
used to run around D.C. together after pulling some shifts at PBS.
I'm not sure if it was Burt and Ernie or The French Chef that use to launch our
nocturnal escapades
after work. Back then we used the Ampex AVR-1 and the Grass Valley Switcher in Master Control.
Some other day about our shenanigans , but Tommy and Ben are what you call, life-long-friends.
I was just a kid you know, but they let me hang out with them.
Tommy's quote: " You know your friends by not how bad you're doing, but how good they're doing."
Ben's quote: "Did you feel that breeze Love?"
Mel Barr of Dayton, Ohio and Edddie Pullium of Chicago were two of my compadres at ABC.
Mel was part of of ABC News West Coast Operations.
While at ABC, the Company switched out it's Ampex 2000's for the VPR1 1" Video Recorders.
Again credit goes to Tommy Webb and his Family for saving my ass.
Tommy's brother was the infamous Ken Webb of WBLS.
WBLS the Powerhouse urban Radio Station part of Inner City Broadcasting.
The following list of people is my humble attempt to include everyone that had a unique influence on my career.
The Honorable Percy Sutton (R.I.P.) and his Family:

Lisa Calderon (Hi Lisa:)
William Rosser
The Staff and Krewe at The Apollo Theatre during the Golden Years.
Julian Turock and Neal Edwards at Price Waterhouse Manhattan.
Harry use to have some great lunches at Hurley's (?) in Mahattan.
Robert "Bob" White is not only a great Engineer, he's a great person.
Bob just knew how to figure things out.
Although Engineer Ed Vetter was fast, Bob was good.
Paul Rost was another Engineer with great chops.
I've known Paul since I was a squirt and he was an Engineer.
"Go fix it he would tell me."
Mike Cisneros and Family deserve fond mention.
Gary Gordon knew Satellite Technology and Remote connections.
Jim Sharp could fix any beta machine on the planet.
Dan Drees knows cajun.
Mike Gall and Alan Evans could mix and switch Video.
John Sandor turned me on to Cool Edit, which became Adobe Audition.
Rick Herliska could build the best PC.
And Mark Gibson turned me on to Jack Johnson.
Tim Huson and Jim Marshall understood the details, Harris's loss our gain.
Greg Hounshell knew Transmission so well, that TV5 would have floundered without
his support.
Ps. We all hated the early version of the DVCPRO. Danged capacitors, "It just
ate the 6'Oclock report..."
